Galwegians Juniors and OLBC are playing at 3 o clock today in a Junior league game while the whole country and rest of world is watching the game at the Aviva. What a farce and an insult to amateur players who deserve to watch the match. If this is the way rugby in Connacht is promoted then heaven help us. We call off junior league games for county finals, all ireland GAA finals but not while the Irish rugby team plays a crucial six nations game. Whoever is responsible for this should hang their heads in shame. A black day for junior rugby!

My understanding is that the Clubs involved coundnt / wouldnt agree on an alternative date / time. Plenty were available !

No big surprise there, not the 1st time this year that one of the clubs was awkward about a fixture in recent weeks and we’re not talkin about the lads on the Dublin Road

Galwegians sought a postponement due to numerous unavailabilities. Boys club knew this and forced the issue. Will tell you one thing as a Galwegian- the rule book will come out in future for these fixtures.end of

You have just lost Connacht’s best ref. Anyone else think that’s important. There will be a league next year, for the cc to make a balls of.
