Munster: Richmond Champions

Munster Junior League Division 1

Richmond are Munster Junior league champions for a third time in four years after sunday’s comfortable 44-13 victory put them beyond reach of the chasing Kanturk.

The limerick city side can now focus on another tilt at AIL rugby after today’s bonus point win in a season where they have lost just once in league play.

The other significant results came in Tipperary town and Waterford City.

St Senan’s lost 21-15 to Clanwilliam and are now relegated after Waterpark’s bonus point win over Crosshaven.

Senan’s will join Clanwilliam and Crosshaven in Division 2 next season unless Richmond secure promotion to the AIL and now Munster side is relegated to replace then.

Well done lads, great win to seal the league.

Well done to Richmond but considering they were beaten twice by Kanturk who in turn were beat convincingly by Tullamore I cant see them doing much in the round robin
